About Me

I am a licensed middle and high school English educator with a master’s degree and professional licensure in school counseling. I have completed advanced training through Harvard’s Summer Institute for College Admissions and is a certified facilitator of Brené Brown’s Daring Way© and BOLD© programs. With more than 20 years of professional experience in teaching and tutoring, I've supported hundreds of students—from elementary school through college—across a broad spectrum of academic abilities, learning profiles, and educational needs.

What I Offer

  • College Admissions Counseling

    I have visited campuses throughout the country and worked with hundreds of students & their parents—including my own six children—to navigate college admissions.. No matter where you are in the process, I can help: prepare for ACT/SAT tests, select “fit” schools, create activity lists, complete applications, write essays, and manage deadlines.

  • Academic Coaching & Tutoring

    I provide academic coaching (for students ranging from elementary school—graduate school), teaching students to implement  organizational, study, and writing skills and self-advocate. I am experienced working with students with  a variety of learning differences: ADHD, Dyslexia, ASD, Executive Function Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Slow Processing, & OCD

  • Social, Emotional Support

    I have also assisted numerous families to better understand their students needs and assist them in developing appropriate academic plans (504 & IEPs) and other accommodations.  Additionally, I work with students helping them gain more academic, social, and emotional confidence.
